After Microsoft's selling it's assets to Taiwanese firm Foxconn Technology and newly established firm HMD Global, recently Nokia was  famous for it's Lumia phones under the Microsoft licence. It's no more, don't expect new Lumia phones from Nokia. The giant company is back to business after it unveiled new mobile devices at  the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Nokia launched the rebirthed 3310 alongside other models, Nokia 6,5 and 3 running on Android platform. It's 17 years now since Nokia released 3310 back in 2000. The anticipated device  is more upgraded compared to the first one. During the keynote at the Google I/O conference 2017, the company rolled out Google Assistant . The App is available for download from the Apple App Store. The app (Google Assistant)  features search engine and slick design. Some iOS embraced the Assistant because of their mixed reactions with Siri and hope Google Assistant can change the game. This raises questions whether Apple's acquisition of Dark Data and Google's promise of a full stand alone App will make improvements. It's upon a time to see if Google Assistant will dominate or be the second best. The world is still mourning the Cyber Attack, this all started on 12/05/2017 when computer networks lost access to their data on computers. According to statistics more than 200,000 computers' (especially Microsoft based) data was encrypted from more than 150 countries. The attack did not spare big organisations, government agencies and private companies including National Health services, Nissan Motor Co and others. Ransomware is a malware (malicious software) designed to target users' data. Once the computer is infected, the user looses access to data (data is encrypted) and  required to pay a specified fee to the perpetrators to decrypt data. According to the recent wanna cry, the victim was required to pay a fee $300 within 72 hours, failure to meet the allocated time, the fee was doubled or you had to loose your data permanently. The attack is said to have been spread through email phising, usually the perpetrators send an email with a malicious link

Opera is most popular for it's mobile browser, "Opera mini". On the other side of desktops and laptops, the competition is quite stiff between Opera and other browsers like Chrome, Edge and Firefox. After the success story of facebook live tv  streaming, the giant social media continues to position it's self as a one stop hub for entertainment and news online. The romours of facebook tv started spreading since December last year, now it's high time it became a reality. Facebook tv show is anticipated in June of this year. According to sources, the giant company will roll out the service on premium basis. The shows will be in two tiers, the shorter ones for low costs and the longer ones for higher budget. The shorter shows are expected to run at an interval of 5-10 minutes and refresh every 24 hours and the long ones between 5-30 minutes. Facebook want to fill the service with episodic contents and it's major target is to reserve billions of dollars spent on television advertisements.

  At Microsoft developer conference, the company announced that Apple will add iTunes desktop App to Windows store by the end of this year. Before users were able to download iTunes from internet but, now the windows 10 and Windows 10 S users will have full access to iPhone support, Apple music and the iTunes store.   The anticipated new App to the store will allow Windows 10 S users to have their music without having to upgrade to the pro iterations. This is giving a room to developers to construct apps with in Windows visual studio using Xamarine Live Player. 

  Instagram in it's move of being the giant photo app, is leaving no stone unturned. Instagram is extending it's services to emerging market and users of low bandwidth connection especially in Third World countries. Now you can instagram and upload photos on your mobile web browser than before. Previously it was only preserved for respective platforms of Android, Windows and iOS.   Instagram joins the footing of other top social networks like Twitter and Facebook which run on both native apps and mobile web browsers. Though some features are not yet supported like video uploads, direct messaging, stories and filters, users can now upload photos, search, like, web sign-up, browse, follow, share, explore tab and see notifications on mobile web no matter what device or network you are on.   At the event in New York, Microsoft announced a new version of windows 10 S, the lighter weight of windows 10. It's rumoured to be a powerful competitor of windows 10. It's a streamlined version of windows 10 capable of running on low cost devices.   Windows 10 S is targeting the Education market and Microsoft has partnered with different manufacturers of computers(OEMs) like, HP, Asus, Dell, Acer and others to provide a range of new Windows 10 S PCs for Education.   Everything that runs on Windows 10 S is downloaded from Windows Store,said by Terry Myerson, the chief of Microsoft's Windows at the event. Windows 10 S is seen as a competitor to Chrome OS as most schools had shifted to using cheaper  chrome books which run on Chrome OS. The windows 10 S will be free for download and shipping to schools who were previously using Windows 10. The shipping of Windows 10 S will be available in the coming months at $189.

  All those concepts watched in science fiction movies with time may soon become a reality. This time Larry Page, the founder of google bankrolled kitty hawk company to manufacture the first flying car as you see the images of it's prototype (early sample) aircraft. The mission of kitty hawk flyer is to make personal flight a reality as stated on their website.   The kitty hawk flyer is an all electric air craft that is designed to fly over water and may be legal to fly over uncongested water areas in United States. It doesn't require a pilot's licence to fly and quite sad the company has no plans to ship it out side USA.   The exact use of the flyer is not yet said and no price set for the retail version, but you can sign up for membership at $100 to get a $2000 discount on a complete flyer. 

  Facebook has finally announced the new messenger lite globally just like facebook Lite to target users with low bandwidth connectivity especially in Africa and other developing countries where internet is unaffordable. The service has been available before in countries like Tunisia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Kenya and Venezuela and now expanded to 132 new countries.   The Facebook's Lite version approach is giving it an advantage over it's rivals, being more user friendly than other versions giving it an upper hand to add more daily users than any other social media like twitter and snapchat.   As a way of targeting users with low bandwidth connectivity, Instagram has finally got a new offline feature in the beta version of the instagram app for Android that that let's you engage with content with out connection.   During a conference of instagram at the Facebook F8, Hendri demonstrated how the new offline will work. The users will be in position to browse images, visit profiles, like photos, comment on videos and photos and save media when you are offline and these will be updated once you are connected.   Hope this is a great innovation by instagram and the feature will suit users with limited data packages who are fans of instagram.

According to sources (TechCrunch), facebook is about to add the GIF button feature on it social platform. The top social media has already started testing the GIF support.  The target of of facebook will allow users to to comment using GIF animation. The spokesperson of facebook stressed this in an email sent to TechCrunch.     Everyone loves a good GIF and we know that people want to be able to use them in comments.
